Just so happened to be discussing Reticulum meshtastic networks and nostr mARKetplaces with some fellow plebs last night.

quotingWalking around the suburbs with this device, so far the house wives of Worcester haven't called the police yet 😎.

The tests were a success thus far, I have mounted (albeit temporarily) another 868Mhz antenna onto a metalic beam on the patio which has perfect line of sight to an accessible road 📻.
Interestingly enough it performed well in the park too, which is behind several obstructing walls of concrete 🤔. I think the antenna change helped greatly.
The next line of sight will be that of this slightly distant tree. I could walk there but I'd need to be prepared a little but as it was rather hot today and I was walking around in 🩴
For context, I have two 868Mhz antennas attached to a radio tuned to that frequency. Both are connected via SMA connectors to an ESP32 board running the RNode firmware. This allows me to attach then to Reticulum as another network interface. Meaning I can send data and messages from my phone's Reticulum instance to the laptop's Reticulum instance. Best part is that it is all end-to-end encrypted, so I can speak freely... to erm... myself 😂. Not for long though, I have some people interested at least so perhaps I won't be the only person in my town doing this.
