Submitted my application for a job I’d really love, if they’d have me. Now is the time for stoical expectation management. I must visualise a world where I don’t get the job and I cope with that and move on.
If I get an interview, I must immediately switch to visualising a world where I am the perfect candidate who was born to do this job. But then instantly back again if they go with someone else.
I can be either person, it’s just hard to switch quickly.
