When I was a reporter (small town community newspaper), a local bridge was having issues. It could handle cars, but the big trucks driving over it were causing it to fail.
The DOT put up signs. My editor sent me to get a photo of a big truck ignoring the signs and going over the bridge. In ten minutes, I got seven photos of different big rigs crossing it.
The DOT had to close the bridge to make repairs before someone died.
