I am confused (not that that's unusual). If you have an isolated (let's say spherically symmetric) object, and classically it sits in a static, asymptotically flat space-time, then don't past and future null infinity have to disagree about the vacuum like they do in a Schwarzschild space, so that it will also radiate (but maybe much more slowly)? (It doesn't help my floundering much that the original calculation is based on a static space-time but concludes that there's no such thing...)
