I believe they are trying to protect their workers. The fact they left some is encouraging, but I'd prefer to see a beefed-up security response aimed against idiot protestors.
Remember, a fair number of states now permit patrons to walk into stores carring assault rifles. Safety is not a trivial issue.
That said, this caving to bullies must stop.
