oh. fun. Computers keep getting easier and easier. Now when you screw up DNS you need to clear two different local caches:
macOS
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
Chrome
chrome://net-internals/#dns and press the "Clear host cache"
