Remember when the “Do Not Track” switch in browsers was honored by sites and then it quickly became one of the browser fingerprints to enable tracking? My guess is that, if it hasn’t happened already, “robots.txt” will flip from a “please don’t go here”, to becoming a sign that valuable content lives here and should be ingested.
