This is me a decade after the picture of me with the blond, burgundy, and dark blue Mohawk, playing live with one of my childhood mentors, the late James "Pigmeat" Jarrett on piano (me with the 1970 Gibson Les Paul Custom).

That was only a few years before he died and left my world smaller and colder. That is the problem, there was no culture for me to go back to and find others who shared music like him and all the others I have lost in the years since.

The picture was taken by the Enquirer Magazine from outside Arnold's Bar, the oldest continuously operating in Cincinnati, Ohio.

At the time, it was owned by another of my friends and mentors, Jim Tarbell, who owned the famous Ludlow Garage, one of the music venues I hung out in during the early 1970s.
