#WritersCoffeeClub Aug 17: What was your motivation for choosing past or present tense?
Past tense is the historical default, so it doesn't call attention to itself. Also, I use present tense for dreams to make them both more visceral (bc they're little horror scenes) and to signal to readers that I'm shifting to a different reality.
