The main issue is that virtually all of what this does can be emulated with dosbox and that which can't be emulated easily like specific hardware--mostly sound hardware, things like Roland MT32 that produced the intended sound for music and sound effects for a lot of those old games, are not in this.

Using Dosbox to play those old games also has the advantage of setting cycle numbers to get these games running at a perfect speed since most of them were not speed capped and could run too slow/too fast, and not having to fuck around with memory managers, weird custom autoexecs, etc. just to be able to boot the games up.
