For many reasons I do not personally praise hezb or nasrallah, but I will always support the resistance and people defending themselves from their oppressors. And for now, that’s where that conversation needs to end. This isn’t even much of a question to be had to begin with, especially not for people in the west. I feel gross even saying this right now because there are much more pressing issues at hand. But I think it is interesting that most people in the west have such a black and white understanding of things, especially when it comes to the Middle East. It’s either hezb bad, Hamas bad, and condemnation of resistance- or justifying the resistance and holding many of these leaders and groups up on a pedestal and even viewing them as some sort of leftist gods for the most part. ‘Two things can be true’ is a concept I’ve noticed people really struggle understanding in the west.

The reality is that Israel just exponentially multiplied the resistance and the number of people willing to fight back and resist. Probably in Hezbollah, just like they have done with Hamas, but also in general. There are other groups, individuals, and AG’s resisting, and that will continue. As Remi Kanazi said, genociding multiple civilian populations doesn’t “defeat” your enemies, it creates a new generation of people who will resist you.
