One of the first file managers I used for Linux was Midnight Commander. It was introduced to me by a good friend who was helping me learn the ropes early on. Over the years I've grown to appreciate its longevity and feature set. It's an incredible and versatile terminal based file manager that's just as important to me as vim and screen.
