Low deposit mortgages are a NOT good thing!
Sure, in the sort term, they may help more people buy a suitable home, but in the long(er) term they continue the inflationary pressure stoked by (relatively) easy credit in the housing market.
Its one more measure that while helping individuals, is socially corrosive by stoking price rises & locking more people into *needing* such price rises to avoid falling into negative equity, due to their low capital share!
