I don't really like this particular retelling, but these sentences did resonate and I wanted to share :). The first time I heard is was from Elizabeth Wathuti, a great storyteller and activist. Her baseline is to be driven by love, not hope. She told me we should fight for our home, our Earth, out of love, deep, grounded love, and not let our spirit and actions be shattered every time hope seems to wither.
