Worst thing that sigstore did for adoption is them tying their whole narrative to the container ecosystem. This confuses the fuck Out of everyone and causes most people I talk to to immediately dismiss it. I need to really reprogram people to believe me nothing is container specific and it isn't poisoned CNCF vaporware.
They seem to be trying to change this narrative though.
