I strongly disagree. The US has “not forgotten how to do basic things”. Doing things correctly requires paying for quality materials and quality workers. The US is openly hostile to labour and obsessed with getting the lowest price and lowest quality materials.
No shock at anything these home inspectors find. Fixing all those issues would only cost a little more.
