But if it's anything to go by, there are no more printers where you're really free. Every printer company makes money from consumables, not from selling devices. Nevertheless, Brother is still on the “good” side - with HP you can't even scan if there's no original ink in it - and it can't even be empty! Or the obligation to have an online account in order to use the device. Brother really is an angel in comparison. Apart from that, I only ever use original accessories and ink/toner.
