"Real art in museums stimulates brain much more than reprints, study finds."

OK, this is obviously a very self-serving story, from a museum trying to prove its value ahead of potentially devastating public finding cuts.

One could do an entire cultural analysis of the moment where are in, when museums feel compelled to position themselves as effective neuro-stimulants.

But I think it nevertheless points a reason why stuff like the metaverse will never take off. There is a hard line that even high-res simulations cannot gross. And i's not the uncanny valley. And, my guess is: It has to with a) the infinity of detail of the analogue materials and b) the pleasurable complexity of embodied relationships.
