Right!? At first they seemed slimy and gross, but once I got used to them they started to seem almost cuddly (although still slimy.)
They're literally the "intestines of the earth". The microbiome in their guts is a miracle: a "bio-reactor" that makes the finest soil known, in which seeds seem to erupt rather than germinate, in which plants can't help but grow.
