Take Instagram/Twitter and all of the algorithmically generated platforms apps off your phone and see how quickly your attention returns. I’m shocked just how present i feel after such a short period of time. Most platforms can still be used from your browser, but having them on your person is terrible. I only have ice cubes for mastodon as there is no gamified or promoted/algo content.
