Turnout collapsed in Tamworth (64.3% in ‘19 vs 35% yesterday) and Mid Bedfordshire (73.75 in ‘19 vs 44.1% yesterday) so it’s thoroughly disingenuous for Starmer to claim he’s hoovering up Tory votes.
He’s not.
Tories are staying home.
Come general election time with threats of full scale communism and immigrants flooding in from the Sun and Daily Heil they’ll fall back into line and Starmer will lose.
Labour cannot win on their own. It’s that simple.
