We need to be the new "greatest generation".
Here's how: decentralization and nullification.
Start local, the machine is too big to fight head on. In whatever town it can work in, voucherize all public services. This fixes education system/brainwashing prison, also makes schools financially liable for school shootings, so that gets fixed in a hurry. Fire dept can be something that your homeowners insurance hires when the need arises.
The fun part is police. They would be replaced by rights enforcement agencies, which serve the individuals that purchase their services, instead of the state. By doing this last one, all victimless laws are unenforceable, unless the state or federal government wants to send people in. If enough towns do this, it becomes impossible.
So why would this model spread? Money, plain and simple. Without the bureaucratic inefficiency of government, school and fire dept costs would drop by half overnight, and police services would offer follow through in the courts, along with the standard call response model, all for about the same price as police now.
Of course we'd need to privatize the roads, which could be accomplished by gating off communities, another crime prevention measure. Road repairs would be upon the citizens of each community to handle. This would significantly lower the cost of repair.
Things really get interesting as this spreads and things like income tax and the dollar itself begin to lose power until they can no longer hold their own when confronted with freedom and crypto. State governments would begin to dictate how the federal government runs, not vice versa. Towns would dictate how the state runs. This is when the personal server becomes commonplace and web5 has the opportunity to flourish. NOSTR plays hugely into this.
When the government funding falls, the military must fall back to the citizens, regular militias if required. Militias remove aggressive foreign policy because they are not, by nature, aggressive. Without world police, the world eventually learns to do the same thing as we did and the phenomenon goes global, removing the tyranny with no bloodshed required to fight it.
