As a nerd I am required to note that we genuinely have no idea how many cases (official positive tests) we have, because testing is so low that most countries are no longer reporting case numbers and the ones that are know that that figure is pretty meaningless.
We definitely have a lot of infections, but it's really tricky to estimate a solid number from either wastewater or hospitalization data, given the complexities with both.
