A lot of times it’s just small town mindset , she can’t conceive that some people eat in Ramadan , naive ignorance that deserves some grace + and in a lot of countries you should eat discreetly ( only inside restaurants not in public ) during that period out of respect for others
But if she is the educated type and she is imposing that on you , then I would get angry too
