So, Thames Water is warning that its ageing assets represent 'a risk to public safety, water supply and the environment'.
Hmmm.... right:
privatisation was intended to spur investment in water infrastructure (supposedly lacking under public ownership).
But investors have drained (pun intended) revenue to pay dividends rather than invest in said infrastructure.
Now, TW is using this failure as justification for a hike in prices!
