Too often I hear about new users who only want their computer to do X, Y, and Z, all of which are GUI, and some asshat on some forum gave them shit for not using/knowing the terminal.
Stop it.
It's like someone asking "What's the most economical car to just go get groceries with?", and a car guy insisting they should build and tune their own.
