i just got out of a sh**show of a thread
i want to say something to all #americans :
#vote
and make your vote count
to not understand the stakes, and to think you have the *privilege* of not voting or voting third party, is an absurdity
a vote is not a love letter, it's strategy in a war
your heart may be in the right place, but your mind?
i've engaged people who indicate otherwise, and the amount of bs i get in return is incredible
do whatever you want in life, say whatever you want. but you can't expect to post a rationale for wavering on a simple easy need for an obviously appreciable reason without getting some pushback
i understand the wisdom of silence. i understand people just want to vent
but i can never accept those who argue not voting or voting third party (and we should have #rankedchoicevoting so we do have viable third party options, but we're not there *today*)
i can't bite my tongue. whatever the consequences
the stakes are too high
