Just my own personal experience: Bluetooth on my Fedora 40 KDE system (Kernel 6.10, all packages patched) works perfectly.

Using a keyboard (Keychron K8 Pro), JBL Bluetooth speaker and a game pad from 8bitdo. Even the Bluetooth in initramfs (entering the hdd encryption password) does work, after invoking dracut once after pairing the keyboard.

Also on my gaming PC with Arco Linux (Arch based) and some cheap Intel WiFi+BT PCIe card, it simply does work without a problem.

At least in my case with Intel BT chips (ThinkPad T480 one and Intel AX210 in my gaming rig), I haven’t had issues in the recent past.

I had however numerous problems with the Linux support of certain Quallcomm and Realtek BT chips, that either didn’t work at all or had super weird issues like connection drops, audio stuttering or even entirely locked up BT stacks.

Seems to be super different with different hw manufacturers and support isn’t always as good.
