I don't have the muscle memory for it yet but purling finally just clicked for me last night and today I took it a step further and realized that because I'm at least a little ambidextrous I can just knit the "wrong" way on purling rows instead of turning the work.
I can just flip the direction in my brain instead of in physical space.
