Left the house this morning to go to my electrolysis appointment and deal with a medication issue at the pharmacy (problem solved). Made a couple stops along the way while I was out, then home.
But at my second stop, which was Target because I wanted to get some of their cheap ass ladies ribbed t shirts and tanks that I wear all the fucking time.
Got in line and a second checker shows up. It was the same girl from like a month ago (wild guess, my concept of time is shattered atm). She was like, “I *think* I recognize you…” I nodded because I remember her as the one who gushed all over me about my hair, nails, jewelry, etc, and said “I just love the whole fit!”
So it was her, and yeah I nodded at the recognition, and she said, “Sorry, I know I already said this, but…” and she repeated the gushing😂
It was quite sweet of her, but the funny part is that there was a line behind me, and she gave no shits as she asked me about my nail colors and looked up close, she incidentally caught the other checkers attention who left the people in line, and both asking me about what my necklace meant, etc. Then was like, “When you paint your nails a new color you have to come in and show me.” 😂

I complimented her hair color which had purple and some red I think, and looked really good on her. So she chatted some more about her favorite hair place next door and how last time it was red, etc, etc, 😂
*I leave, people finally get to be helped*
But yeah, these nice interactions are the ones that make me able to leave the house, something pretty difficult for me to do. And it makes me feel really fucking good to be the one who is doing the thing other people like to see. None of this even happened on purpose—me being like I am, how I dress, etc, meaning I didn’t plan on trying to do something cool or whatever. I just started being me, and so many people just pop out of the woodwork to be nice to me.
