Quick way to determine if government distractions are effective.
Ask a friend or family member what they think about inflation. Gauge their temperament.
Then ask them what they think about ${Opposing_party}. You’ll most likely get a bigger rise out of them.
More people should be beyond angry about inflation but it’s purposely portrayed passively with weasel words such as “runaway inflation”, “quantitative easing”, and even the CPI.
Rather than how it should be viewed
- I bust my ass to get paid money
- Some guys in pressed suits and manicured hands get to make more of it
- my salary can never compete with infinity
- Things are harder to buy
