The box was the standard old C64 box, even showing the old bread bin with brown keys. It was a deal with Commodore USA, so the machines were assembled in the US. They basically used up leftover breadbin cases while the production of the C64C was ramping up in 1987 and struck a deal with Aldi to sell them. They were the first C64s with the short board. :)
