Longcovid is worse than ageing. For many old people it's not too late to get fitter. They can work to be more mobile, conditions permitting, and lots go sedentary after retirement, and they can address some of that. Lonely people often let themselves go.
With Longcovid, while it feels like premature ageing, it's not the same as being old. It gives you significantly less conventional options on being fitter or recovering.
