"content": "Flood control is very important, for down stream communities. The dams also allow the Columbia River to be used as a highway. There are two major choke points on the river, Cascade Locks and Cellio Falls at the Dallas. There are much safer nuclear reactor designs, but they don't want us to have affordable power, it is a control issue for them. Personally I would not be surprised to learn fusion reactors have been developed and other advanced power sources.",
