Been listening to some old rockers for something I'm writing and lemme just say this: if you don't take care of your voice, you have no business charging people money to listen to you sing. No guitarist would play with an amp that buzzed annoyingly, but plenty of people try to sing with smoking- and booze-ravaged voices that aren't up to the task of performing their songs anymore.
