Worse: it underpins *other* treaties, including the entire World Trade Organization and World Intellectual Property Organization. You can't abolish it in one state—you'd need to achieve global consensus (including China, Russia, Libya, Ruritania, etc), getting *everyone* to agree to make the change. The existing system took decades to achieve. Any replacement would be worse.
