LINGUISTICS QUESTION!
why is it that i can read Nederlands (Dutch) better than German?
i may be a good year or two away from "intuitively" understanding Germanic etymology. am trying to apply the hack i've used to learn multiple Romance language to Germanic ones.
i keep finding Nederlands is the easiest for me. it may well be my gateway drug to the Germanic languages, LOL
