Well, well, well, finally the Competition & Markets Authority has woken up to the conduct in the veterinary market, looking at overcharging & upselling to distressed pet owners as potential issue around market manipulation & a lack of transparency on fees.
I've said before that the veterinary market looks a lot like one model for how a privatised health services mind end up, and the domination of big chains with performance (sales) targets is just the tip of the iceberg.
