i am not super plugged in to everything happening in my current location, but most of the buzz about hating the office seems to come from the USA because (like this meme notes) getting to the office there takes 90 minutes of driving. when the commute is 30 minutes of public transportation and walking through pleasant environments, going in to an office 2-3 days a week is not that big of a deal and actually a nice change of pace.
