I grew up in a small business household run by immigrant parents.

My parents always had this mentality like, "I'm paying this person X amount of money to do some work, but they never get it done. They're not worth it. I'll just do it myself."

What I've learned is that teaching someone how to do something properly once is way more valuable than repetitively doing it yourself. You may save that X amount per hour, but your time as the business owner is worth more than that: it would be more valuable to help someone grow as an essential part of your organization instead.

There is unlimited value in growth. There is no price on time.
