Manipulating hearts and minds?
Okay, the original post here was specifically asking for examples of student movements that were on the wrong side of history. Got any examples of student-led protests that were wrong, manipulative, abusive etc?
As for sensible and effective problem solving... You might want to read up on the labor movement, for a start. Civil rights, suffrage, etc etc, all pushed forward by massive protests that faced real bloodshed. Arguably NO major, heavy-duty change in history has happened WITHOUT major protests.
