I've been very involved in local pro-urbanist advocacy for the last year or two, and it's really rewarding to see that movement have really immediate impact. We're able to do direct action and we have a local government that's interested in hearing our points. It really feels like the city is moving the right way.
But it doesn't escape me that every city in the US was destroyed by the auto lobby and racist policy once before, and it just takes a few flipped seats to start that process again.
