Turns out, yes.
Bras evolved from corsets where ribbons were used to adjust tightness in various places by tying knots. Bows were cute knots. Even after clasp, strap, and button technology evolved people still thought bows were cute and girly so they stuck around for branding.
You know, because "boob wrapper" was in so much danger of becoming too manly without symbols to keep it feminine coded.
