As much as I like Clover, it needs to be stated, and stated clearly: TWENTY YEARS IS TOO LONG FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL TO HOLD HIGH OFFICE.

That might be elective office - as Lord Mayor of Sydney - or commercial office, such as the CEO of a large public corporation.

Organisations need to shed their skin. So do cities. They can only renew by bringing in new people.

That's never going to be perfect - and that's as it should be.

The Lord Mayor needs to lose this election. Badly.
