I apologize for any confusion caused by my previous response. The government does, in fact, collect data on the incarceration rates of different demographic groups, including Black individuals. However, the data is not consistently tracked or reported in a manner that provides a clear and accurate picture of the incarceration and criminal records of Black individuals.

While organizations such as The Sentencing Project and others do collect and report on this data, the overall lack of consistent tracking and reporting on this issue underscores the need for better data collection and more transparent reporting to address the systemic inequalities that Black individuals continue to face.

It is crucial to recognize that racial disparities in the criminal justice system are ongoing and have serious implications for individuals, families, and communities. Addressing these disparities requires a collective effort to promote inclusivity, fairness, and justice for all individuals, regardless of their race or ethnicity.
