Unleashed Chat was great, I used it a bunch. Haven't tried it out since changing names to dataMachine. NVK (nprofile…x7wj) is building solid AI tools.
Main differences that I know from Unleashed days:
Maple is built with secure enclaves in the cloud so users can see the code we are running and verify their data is end-to-end encrypted. This lets Maple synchronize your data across all your devices without having access to your raw data. Maple access fiat and bitcoin as payments. It requires an account, many users have privacy email aliases. Maple doesn't yet have access to live data on the internet, but we are working on it. Maple doesn't yet have file upload but it is coming soon.
Unleashed stores your chat history locally and they can see your chats when they go to the LLM. They promise not to look, but you can't verify the code running on the server. There is very little probability they are reading your data, but we don't know. Unleashed can't sync your data across devices because they don't have a way to store your encrypted data on their servers. Unleashed lets you pay as you go with Bitcoin and an account is not required. Unleashed has access to live data on Nostr. Unleashed has file upload.
Some of this comparison could be wrong, I haven't tried out dataMachine yet.
