You’ve probably heard that women are constantly primed to do bad at math because people constantly tell them that women are bad at math. This is called #StereotypeThreat. But did you know that white men can be primed the same way? A study from 1999 pdf found that Stanford white men who were told about a widening gap in scores between white and Asian students did worse on a test than a control group.
