One thing I REALLY hated as a kid was being told not to look down but straight ahead when #walking. Sure, I guess it does make for better posture and gait, but hear me out:

Lots of kids - and adults - have issues with sensory overload. Focusing on little details on the ground aids mental clarity and can restore a sense of calm.

Besides, it's super interesting, the sort of things you might entirely miss out on if you just keep staring ahead... 🤷‍♂️
