Learning to eat with new dentures is more challenging than I would have thought. I think that isn't because what you're doing is so difficult, but because you are taking something that is essentially automatic (the act of biting and chewing) and transforming it into a very specific, intentional process where you are manipulating your mouth in very specific and deliberate ways, ways which are quite different from how "normal" eating works.
Thankfully it's getting a bit better, and I assume it will continue to improve over time, but it's been an eye-opening experience to say the least.
