So now that Keir Starmer has reduced the the foreign aid budget, it transpires that nearly half the remaining budget will be spent on housing asylum seekers in hotels in the UK.... not really what anyone sensible would refer to as foreign aid.
In theory the money for the asylum seekers could come from another budget freeing up a bit more for retaining some foreign aid (and I'll remind you there's a group looking at how to rebuild the UK 'soft power')... but....
